Dr. Rosamma Stephen Visits AWI, WHOI
Dr. Rosamma Stephen
(center), CMarZ Network Taxonomic Expert, from the National Institute of
Oceanography, Kochi, Karala, India, visited the lab of Dr. Sigi
Schiel at the Alfred- Wegener-Institute for Polar and Marine Research
(AWI) in Bremerhaven, Germany in July 2006 to share her expertise in Copepoda of the families Calanidae,
Paracalanidae, Aetideidae, Lucicutiidae, Heterorhabdidae,
Arietellidae, and Temoridae. From there, she traveled to Woods
Hole Oceanographic Inst. in the U.S. to work on the creation of species
pages for some of these copepods in the lab of Dr.
Peter Wiebe.
