Travel and Accomodation Information

Travel to Falmouth/Woods Hole:

Buses are available from Boston, Logan International Airport to the village of Woods Hole in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The Bononza/Peter Pan bus leaves Logan from the departure areas at each terminal and arrives about 1-1/2 hours later at the ferry terminal in Woods Hole after stopping briefly in Falmouth.

All bus trips run daily. One-way fare $30; round-trip fare $55.

The Green Shuttle of Cape Cod provides service between Logan Airport or TF Green airport in Providence, Rhode Island and Woods Hole.

Lodging:

Workshop (May 1) participant rooms are available at the Nautilus Motor Inn, a short walk from the symposium venue. The Nautilus Inn is about 0.3 miles (0.5 km) from the bus station so it's a easy walk or very short taxi ride. Taxis are usually available at the terminal. Ask for the "MarBoL rooms" at the WHOI rate.

Reservations may be made at other Woods Hole area hotels and inns or in Falmouth, about 4 miles (6.5 km) from the Village of Woods Hole: the Inn on the Square (adjecent to the Falmouth Bus Station) and the Holiday Inn. It's also worth asking if they have a "WHOI rate"
